Stewart’s Caring Place Announces 23rd Annual Butterfly Gala

Akron, OH (June 4, 2026) – Stewart’s Caring Place is proud to announce its signature fundraising event, the 23rd annual Butterfly Gala, taking place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, outdoors at the beautiful private residence of Brian Moore in Hinckley, Ohio. This elegant and inspiring evening will bring together community members, supporters and advocates to celebrate the mission of Stewart’s Caring Place and raise critical funds to support individuals and families affected by cancer.

The Butterfly Gala is a powerful night of community and impact – guests can enjoy cocktails, dinner, live entertainment, exciting silent & live auctions, Fund-A-Need and more while supporting Stewart’s Caring Place. This year’s gala holds special significance as it honors the J & F Memorial Foundation – known to many as Akron Bikers for Boobs – with the 2026 Spirit Award, spotlighting their exceptional dedication and robust fundraising that has allowed Stewart’s Caring Place to grow their reach and mission across Northeast Ohio.

The 2026 Butterfly Gala will be chaired by Kristie Warner, a community advocate and longtime friend of Stewart’s Caring Place. Serving as emcees for the evening will be Phil and Sarah Bokovitz—cancer survivors, participants and dedicated advocates for the mission of Stewart’s Caring Place.

The Butterfly Gala is a breathtaking event that symbolizes transformation, resilience, hope and community. Heartfelt testimonials will be given from Stewart’s Caring Place participants and donors, inspiring guests to bid as an act of support. A special paddle raise will directly fund Stewart’s wide range of free supportive services.

“The Butterfly Gala highlights the extraordinary commitment of this community to those affected by cancer,” said Sarah Vojtek, President and CEO of Stewart’s Caring Place. “Funds raised through the event directly support essential, no‑cost services that help ensure every individual and family has meaningful support throughout the cancer journey.”

All proceeds from the event benefit Stewart’s Caring Place’s wide range of free support services, including counseling, wellness programs, wigs and prosthetics, support groups and family programming—all available at no cost to individuals and families on a cancer journey.
