Stewart’s Caring Place Hosting “Holding Light” A New Healing Arts Gallery Showcase
FAIRLAWN, OH (June 23, 2026) — Stewart’s Caring Place, a cancer wellness center serving over 30 counties in Ohio, is excited to announce it is hosting “Holding Light,” a freeexhibition which will be on display in its Healing Arts Gallery from July through September, 2026.
Holding Light brings together the work of artists Dee Fairweather, Megan Frankenfield, and Care Hanson in an exhibition that explores healing, resilience, memory, and connection through painting, mixed media, and contemporary visual art. This inspiring exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the ways beauty, creativity, and community help illuminate our lives.
Meet the Artists:
- Dee Fairweather is a landscape oil painter born and raised in Northeast Ohio, where she fell in love with expansive skies, winding paths, and the quiet emotion of a place. Working with primarily neutral tones, her artwork is shaped by a deep emotional connection between the human spirit, landscapes, and a desire to hold onto fleeting moments of the atmosphere and stillness. It is all about mood, memory, and the emotional experience of being moved by the land.
- Megan Frankenfield is an artist located in Cleveland, Ohio. Inspired by the beauty of the “Rust Belt”, her paintings are carefully crafted using acrylic paint and/or photography on canvas where they appear to be like stained-glass or ceramic tile works. With textured surfaces, she documents the relationship humanity has with nature. Showcasing factory windows, rusty framework, and the way nature works around it all allows her work to be an homage to the past, present, and future of our industrial landscape.
- Care Hanson is a visual artist with an eclectic practice that includes acrylic on canvas, multi-media work on recycled materials, nature mandalas, art journals, photography, and hand stitching. Care relies heavily on intuition, jumping in without a set plan and creating until it feels right. She values the creative process as a means of exploration, meditation, and understanding.
“The exhibition’s title, Holding Light, speaks to the ways we carry hope, strength, and compassion through times of challenge and change” said President and CEO of Stewart’s Caring Place, Sarah Vojtek. “It also reflects the mission of the organization, where support, connection, and healing are offered to individuals and families facing cancer.”
